MIAMI -- The Heat are finalizing a flurry of weekend moves to restock the roster in the stinging aftermath of franchise icon Dwyane Wades free-agency departure to the Chicago Bulls. The Heat on Sunday reached a deal to re-sign veteran forward Udonis Haslem, according to a league source, and announced the signings of shooting guard Wayne Ellington and forward James Johnson. The Heat, a league source said, were also expected to match Brooklyns four-year, $50 million offer sheet to retain restricted free-agent guard Tyler Johnson. Miami faced a Sunday-night deadline for deciding on Johnson. On Friday, the Heat signed former New York Knicks forward Derrick Williams. The Miami Herald was first to report Haslems one-year, $4 million deal to stay in Miami, where he is the only remaining player who played in all three of the Heats championship seasons. The signings exhaust nearly all of the $20 million in cap space the Heat had after re-signing center Hassan Whiteside to a four-year, $98 million deal July 1 in the opening hours of free agency.Of the weekend signings, only Johnsons deal is for longer than two seasons under team president Pat Rileys plan to maintain flexibility in hopes of attracting a marquee free agent next summer to speed up the rebuilding process. The activity came on the heels of Wades decision Wednesday to turn down Miamis two-year, $41.5 million offer after a second straight summer of acrimonious negotiations with the Heat. Riley had hoped to use the remaining $20 million for Wades salary next season.Wade instead agreed to a two-year, $47 million deal with the Bulls and confirmed Saturday that a rift with Riley during the process factored into his decision to walk away. The 34-year-old Wade spent his first 13 seasons in Miami, is the franchises career leader in scoring and helped lead the Heat to five NBA Finals appearances and three championships. Riley has not spoken publicly since Wades departure.Sometimes, change is good for both sides, Wade said Saturday during his youth basketball camp in Miami. Im not sitting here saying that change will not be good for the Miami Heat. We might not see it immediately. We might see it later. Also, the Heat have sent a future second-round pick and cash to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for veteran power forward Luke Babbitt. Adidas Nmd Ingrosso . STRASBOURG, France -- Frances Kristina Mladenovic will open play against world No. 6 Karolina Pliskova in the Fed Cup final, as the hosts look to break the Czech Republics stranglehold on the event this weekend. The Czechs are bidding for a fifth title in six years on an indoor hard court at Rhenus Sport arena in Strasbourg. They won the most recent tie between them in the semifinals last year, and are the overwhelming favorites to become the first team to win three consecutive Fed Cups since Spain from 1993-95.We have a very difficult team ahead of us. Well give it a good fight, said France captain Amelie Mauresmo, who won Frances second and last title in 2003 as a player. The Czech Republic has been the dominant team of the decade, winning 15 or its past 16 ties dating to 2010. It again fields a formidable team made of three top-20 players: Pliskova, the runner-up at the U.S Open, No. 11 Petra Kvitova, and No. 20 Barbora Strycova. The hosts dont have the same pedigree: Frances best player, Caroline Garcia, was ranked 23 in the world. But Mauresmo hopes her players fighting spirit, backed by a home crowd, can spring a surprise.Im really looking forward to it, but Id rather be faccing a team other than the Czechs, said Garcia, who has won two WTA titles this year, including in Strasbourg.dddddddddddd They have so many great players, that they could even make two teams from all the players they have in the top 50.Garcia will take on Kvitova, the two-time Wimbledon champion in the second singles.Sunday features the reverse singles, and finishes with doubles, when Alize Cornet and Pauline Parmentier face Czechs Strycova and Lucie Hradecka.Depending on how the tie goes, Mauresmo could send out Garcia and Mladenovic in the doubles. They won the French Open, and came from a set down to win the decisive rubber against the Netherlands in the semifinals.Mladenovic and/or Garcia have featured in every French rubber this year, but were cleared to play only in September after the French Tennis Federation lifted their ban. The pair was provisionally suspended for damaging the federations image at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where the players criticized the FTT over a clothing mix-up after their defeat in the first round of the doubles.
